1. Download Ubuntu Server

3. BIOS Setup

Insert the USB flash drive into your old laptop. Restart the laptop and press the designated BIOS key repeatedly until you enter the BIOS setup. Ensure that booting from an external drive is enabled. Save and exit the BIOS setup.

4. Install Ubuntu

Once the installer initializes, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Since my old laptop is a 32-bit machine, ensure you select the correct install image.
